Therapy and Support Services
I offer a range of therapeutic and educational services tailored to support children, families, and professionals in understanding and addressing the complexities of emotional regulation, communication, sensory sensitivities, and developmental challenges. My approach is integrative, combining my extensive training and experience in Occupational Therapy, child development (MA), DIR/Floortime therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Interoception (the felt sense—the sense of oneself), the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and Nonviolent Communication.
Therapy Sessions
I provide personalized therapy sessions for children of all ages, addressing a range of developmental issues, including autism and sensory processing challenges. Drawing on my background in occupational therapy and child development (MA), I combine evidence-based approaches such as the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), The Polyvagal Theory-informed therapy, DIR/FloorTime (Developmental, Individual-Difference, Relationship-Based) approach, Nonviolent Communication, and the Interoception Sensory System, along with tailored interventions. I also incorporate tools like the SENCIA Kit, that I developed, to further support the therapeutic process. This comprehensive approach helps each child and family build strategies that foster emotional regulation, communication, and resilience.
I also offer therapy for parents, helping them create the supportive environment their children need to thrive. Along the way, parents gain a deeper understanding of their own nervous system, learning how to regulate themselves and co-regulate with their children. This journey not only helps parents support their child’s well-being but also reveals the powerful process of co-regulation that connects us as humans. When we know how to work with our nervous system, we unlock the potential to heal, nurture closer relationships, and create meaningful connections with those we care about most.

Lectures for Parents, Educators, and Therapy Teams
I offer insightful lectures for parents, educators, and therapy teams on topics including the Polyvagal Theory, Interoception Sensory System, Stress Management, Sensory and Emotional Regulation, and the essential practice of befriending our unique (Autonomic) Nervous Systems. These lectures explore how understanding and working with our biological resources can help us not only survive but thrive. Participants gain valuable insights into how the (autonomic) nervous system shapes emotions, behavior, communication, and overall well-being, along with practical tools for enhancing communication and fostering safe, supportive environments for children.
Workshops for In-Depth Learning
In addition to lectures, I lead hands-on workshops that allow participants to dive deeper into these concepts and apply them in real-life situations. Whether exploring Polyvagal Theory, understanding Interoception, or learning how to use the SENCIA Kit effectively, these workshops offer a safe space for learning, practice, and skill-building. Participants will leave with concrete tools and strategies they can use with children, families, clients, and colleagues.

Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)
The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is an evidence-based, powerful listening therapy developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, rooted in polyvagal theory. It is designed to help regulate the nervous system so that individuals can better connect with themselves, others, and the world around them. The SSP uses the ear as a portal to the nervous system, with specially filtered music initiating a neural exercise that promotes regulation and resilience. Through this music, the SSP sends cues of safety to your nervous system, building the foundation for awareness, embodiment, and resilience.
The SSP isn’t just music—it’s a comprehensive approach to healing. This unique listening therapy is a journey that brings together the client, therapist, and the SSP to create a safe space for brain and body integration and healing, achieving impactful, long-lasting results. By fostering a state of safety and calm, the SSP supports improvements in social engagement, emotional regulation, and resilience. It has also been shown to help with trauma, stress, chronic pain, depression, sleep problems, and more. I incorporate SSP into therapy to help children and adults overcome challenges related to anxiety, sensory processing issues, and emotional regulation, laying the groundwork for greater development and well-being.

DIR/Floortime Approach
DIR® is the Developmental, Individual-differences, and Relationship-based model (pronounced saying each letter as an initialism: D.I.R.). Developed by Dr. Stanley Greenspan, DIR provides a foundational framework for understanding human development and learning, and how each person individually perceives and interacts with the world. It outlines the critical role social-emotional development plays in overall human development, starting at birth and continuing throughout the lifespan. The model highlights the power of relationships and emotional connections in fueling development. Through a deep understanding of the "D" (the developmental process) and the "I" (a person’s individual differences), we can use the "R" (human relationships) to promote healthy development and help everyone reach their fullest potential.
DIRFloortime® (Floortime) is the application of the DIR® model into practice. While the DIR® model helps us understand and promote the positive development of all children, DIR and DIRFloortime are most commonly utilized with children facing educational, social-emotional, mental health, and/or developmental challenges. DIRFloortime has become most widely known as an approach to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), providing individualized interventions that focus on emotional connection, communication, and social development.
